From country living

The last weeks have been busy and really warm! Almost 3 weeks of good weather and temperatures around 3) (some days above 33) degrees, is something that I had forgotten…amazing! It’s a good preparation for my summer in Portugal, I’m not use anymore!

Last weekend, we paint the house, it was funny but really hard too. Saturday it was the warmest day around here (37) and can you imagine how painful is to paint a house like this, specially because dutch houses are not prepared to warm weather, only for cold!! Now it’s done and ready to move!

Some things were missing, so Iwe bought a lovely table for my sewing studio and and a closet on the 2nd hand market…it’s white and lovely, as I like it! Of course it was cheap!

Besides this, in the end of july I’m finishing my contract in Philips, and I’ll have 2 months of holiday! Of course the quilt has to be finished in a couple of weeks, the good thing is I’m starting the binding this week,so I think I can manage!

Now wish me luck for the moving on this weekend!!

Have a nice week!

This was from last weekend, while playing with the squares order. Now I already have a scheme and today I’m starting to sew the squares! Have a nice Sunday!

The 72 squares and the 20 white stripes are cut! Now begins the most cool part of the puzzle! This weekend was lovely and rest days, with family trip around the Rhine river and its beautiful castles and villages! Also, I had time to sew, to cut and to finish other projects!

Have a nice week!

yellow bag

Happy new year, since it’s my first post in 2010!!I wish you the best!!

I’m back again to blog, to work, to Eindhoven, to our life and it’s been good and relaxing after the Christmas holidays, even with this freezing weather!! Going to Lisbon is always good but also very tiring!!

My dear friend Marta asked me to do a yellow bag, completely yellow, without anything more and  with an envelope pattern! Yeah right, she has a sometimes “strange” but very funny and nice taste! So this yellow bag was my Christmas present for her!!  I decide to add some buttons to give a nicer look and the lining was yellow with white dots just to keep the “yellowish”!!

I hope you enjoy it!!!

work in progress

Hoje comecei a fazer coisas para o natal! Passei umas boas horas a cortar tecidos e a imaginar possíveis combinações! Adoro!

Today I started doing things for christmas! I spent some hours cutting fabrics and imagining the differents possibilities! I love it!

Holidays around my lovely city – Lisboa, and around Portugal!! So gooooooooooooood!!!
